8/21: What a nice day at the beach for about an hour - which is really all I can stand for beaches as I burn like heck. And then at night a tremendous storm to cool us off nicely for sleeping. Nice day.. very nice day.

8/20: I am so very grateful today for the chance to catch up with an old friend. And that the nice long visit has just begun so that we have even more time to catch up. She leads a full life and it's a pleasure to have some time with her to slow down and simply catch up.

I needed this.

Oops, and I'd been doing really well there for a bit.

8/18: Grateful that we have new blinds on the kitchen porch to cut out some of the direct light into the house. That is going to make a real difference in how hot that kitchen gets. Thank you bardicstorm for getting those up and set ( Read more... )

8/17: I am grateful that I am having a calmer day at work today so that I have a chance to catch up on some of the busy work that I've been avoiding for so long. It's a relief to be able to cross some of this off my plate.

8/15: I was so grateful for the fans in the apartment. It is sticky and hot out and we don't have A/C, but we do have some lovely lovely fans that move tremendous amounts of air around the place. Days like this, A/C is almost a necessity, but we don't have that option so thank you fans for keeping us alive.

8/14: I'm grateful for a number of things today. Today a doctor spent over an hour with me detailing the history of my joint pain and then ordered a million tests to rule out all kinds of things. He >listened< to me. Today is also a lovely Friday afternoon which meant that it was ok that I didn't make it to work until almost 1, I still got ( Read more... )

8/13: Today I am massively grateful that the hot sticky weather has broken slightly and that my house is cooling off. The sky is gray, but the clouds are pretty and it feels nice to walk outside.

Today I am grateful that I have medical coverage and that I have a doctor who is being proactive.

8/11: Oh modern conveniences - how grateful am I to you? Answer - very. Today back at work in loverly AC. Yesterday the fans helped in the apartment and I had cool running water whenever I felt like moving. Electricity is not to be under-appreciated.
